Happy Holidays! We want to remind you that Brushy Creek MUD offers residents free Christmas tree recycling. District solid waste and recycling vendor Texas Disposal Systems will pick up your tree and recycle it into nutrient-rich mulch for landscaping! 

This year, curbside pickup is Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026. 

How does curbside pickup work?

•  Leave your Christmas tree at your curb the night before (Jan.16) so it’s ready for next day’s pickup.
•  Texas Disposal Systems will pick up trees in Brushy Creek MUD on Saturday, Jan. 17 starting at 7 a.m.

 Trees must meet the following guidelines to be picked up for recycling:

•   Must be natural with all decorations, lights, and stand removed.
•  Must not be "flocked" -- trees with artificial snow will not be accepted.
•  Must be under 7 feet tall.
