Dear Brushy Creek residents,
The BCMUD Aquatics Department is spearheading an initiative to train District staff and the public on first aid, CPR, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The program is presented in a blended learning format. Participants must first complete an online component on the American Red Cross website. Participants then attend our in-person training to practice and demonstrate competency with the course skills.
The in-person classes will take place every other month from 6-8 p.m. at Sendero Springs Pool, 4203 Pasada Lane, Round Rock. The next class is April 23, 2025, and pre-registration is required.
There are many benefits of first aid, CPR, and AED certification. Chiefly, these certifications greatly increase the chances that those certified will be able to save a life when necessary. The American Red Cross states that in an emergency, timely CPR and AED use are key components of the “cardiac chain of survival.”

We look forward to seeing you at class!
