TOPIC TOURS: MAY DOUBLE FEATURE
We'll have a double feature this May for our Topic Tours series - where we watch exclusive and intriguing videos from experts on topics ranging from FBI profiling to brain health. This month we are focusing on wellness:
Friday, May 9 @ 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Fitness Fundamentals
We'll watch videos with master trainer Joe Holder on fitness and wellness philosophy - including positive thinking, food as fuel, and effective workouts to promote a healthy life. We'll learn about bio-motor skills, listening to your body, eating fresh, and tips and tricks to set you up for success.
Friday, May 16 @ 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Intentional Eating
This time we'll join acclaimed author Michael Pollan (In Defense of Food, The Omnivore's Dilemma) in a video series dedicated to eating more healthfully, ethically, and sustainably. We'll look at the four food chains, how to follow rules (not diets), smartly navigate the supermarket, and how to eat the right amount. In addition, we'll look at the history and effects of coffee and sugar so you can manage consumption to fit your needs. This will be an interesting one!
